The Candy Shorts app question: watching on phone and computer

People look for a Candy Shorts app expecting a download. Candy Shorts plays inside Candy AI in the browser, on any phone or computer, and you can add it to your home screen so it behaves like an app.

In short

No separate download is needed. Open candy.ai in a mobile or desktop browser; the vertical player is made for phones. Adding the site to your home screen gives you an app-style icon.

On a phone

  1. Open candy.ai in your browserSafari, Chrome or any recent mobile browser.
  2. Add it to the home screenUse the browser's share or menu option to create an icon.
  3. Hold the phone uprightThe episodes are vertical and fill the screen that way.

On a computer

The same site works on desktop. The vertical player sits in a narrow column, which is less immersive but fine for browsing and for trying free episodes.

Subtitles and language

Audio is in English. Subtitles can be set to English, French, German, Spanish, Italian, Portuguese or Japanese from the player.

About "Candy Shorts videos" elsewhere

Clips on video platforms are trailers or recordings of free episodes. The full series exist only on Candy AI; our leaks page explains the rest.

Series with preview clips

Some series on this site have a short preview clip on their card. You can play them below before opening anything on Candy AI.

Videos and images beyond Shorts

Premium also lets you generate 18+ images and videos with AI characters and includes the live action experience. Details are on our pricing page.

Phone or computer?

The series are made for a phone held upright, so that is where they look best. On a computer the player keeps its vertical shape in the middle of the screen; it works, but most of the screen stays empty. For browsing the library and trying several free episodes, either is fine.

If an episode does not play

  • Reload the page and make sure you are logged in, especially for spicy titles.
  • Try another browser or update the one you use.
  • Check that a content blocker is not stopping the player.
  • On a phone, make sure the browser is allowed to play video.

Choosing subtitles

  1. Start the episodeOpen any episode in the Candy AI player.
  2. Open the subtitle menuIt is in the player controls.
  3. Pick a languageEnglish, French, German, Spanish, Italian, Portuguese or Japanese.

Saving your place

Your progress and unlocked episodes belong to your Candy AI account, not to the device. If you start a series on a phone and log in on a computer later, the episodes you unlocked are still unlocked. That is one more reason to use the free account rather than watching only the episodes that need no login.

Do you need Premium on mobile?

No. The free episodes, the free account and the per-episode token prices are the same on phones and computers. Premium adds the monthly 100 tokens and the other features listed on our pricing page, wherever you watch.

Which series to try first on a phone

The vertical frame suits point-of-view premises best. Blackout At My Yacht Party literally puts the camera in your hands, and I Couldn't Say No to Our Babysitter has a preview clip you can play on its card first.

Sound and headphones

The episodes have English dialogue, so headphones are the obvious choice in shared spaces; with subtitles switched on, most of the story also follows with the sound down.
